Terms of Use


All electronic communications and training with Workforce Solutions (WFS) at Northeast State Community College are subject to the following terms and conditions.


Privacy

WFS requests your name, including the middle initial, email address, telephone number, address, and birthdate. The personal information is collected for registration, invoicing, and communication as needed regarding the course. Your information will be shared as needed with the registration contractor and the hosts of online training.


Electronic Communications Agreement

Electronic communications processes have been created to expedite communications and taking on-line courses. Due to electronic features of communication with WFS, you agree to our using electronic mail for registration and course related information. The information sent electronically will have the same importance as information that has traditionally been sent by other means such as postal service.


Site Protection

WFS at Northeast State is providing access to on line registration, payment, and training. No information from this site in part or in total may be reproduced in any form for commercial purposes.


General Terms

This site and the information contained do not imply any kind of guarantee or warranties. You agree that using this site is at your own risk. WFS is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of this site.

The terms and conditions of using this site are specific to your registration and may not be transferred to anyone else. Your rights and obligations are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute resolutions will be addressed by the Tennessee judicial system



Terms and Agreement


Workforce Solutions at Northeast State Community College offers courses that award Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for participants who successfully complete continuing education courses, workshops, seminars, and specially formatted education offerings. The class and the CEU credit is recorded on the college transcript providing a permanent record of participation in non-degree coursework. Continuing Education Units may not be applied directly toward any Northeast State degree or credit certificate.

Registration: A course participant may register for any continuing education course or activity by completing the online registration process.

Notification of Enrollment – Participants will receive an email notification when registration is complete.

Payment: Course payment may be made online by three methods:

1. Credit card payment
2. Entering purchase order information
3. Entering third party billing information and completing an information release statement

For continuing education classes, course fees are refunded should Northeast State cancel a class.

Fees and Refunds: Continuing Education course fees are not refundable if the participant cancels after the registration deadline listed on the course announcement form. Confirmed registrants may send an instructor approved substitute. Refunds will not be granted once a scheduled class has begun.

Fees and Refunds for Online Courses and Programs: For online courses, if no start date is specified, all refunds must be issued prior to the class start. Once an online class has been started, no refunds will be issued.

Confirmed registrants in continuing education classes who do not attend the course and who do not cancel by the registration deadline listed on the course announcement are responsible for the entire registration fee.

Class Cancellation/Postponement: Workforce Solutions reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class before the first meeting. The office may also limit enrollment, split or combine classes, change location, and reassign qualified instructors when it is necessary. Charges for cancelled classes will be automatically refunded.

Cancellation/Postponement of Individual Class Sessions - If an instructor of a continuing education course must cancel a class session, he or she must notify all participants and the office of Workforce Solutions. The instructor is responsible for arranging a makeup session.

College Closings - Unless otherwise noted, continuing education courses, workshops, and seminars will follow the published campus holiday schedule and any announced closures.
